Friendly and accessible design for renowned research centre

About the Project

The Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC) is a research centre focused on improving patient safety and healthcare, including addressing inequalities experienced by disadvantaged communities.

Sleeky was commissioned to restructure and redesign the PSRC website, creating a new digital platform that would make the organisation’s work easier to understand, navigate and engage with.

What Did Sleeky Do for the Patient Safety Research Collaboration?

Sleeky provided a bespoke website design and development service for PSRC. The project included restructuring the existing website, creating a new visual design and developing custom front-end and back-end functionality.

The website was also designed to be mobile-friendly and accessible, helping users with different levels of experience and abilities navigate the organisation’s information more easily.

The Challenge

PSRC needed a stronger digital presence that could communicate complex research and demonstrate the organisation’s impact in a clear and accessible way.

The website needed to present research, case studies and news in a way that was easy for visitors to find and understand. It also needed to support PSRC’s wider objective of demonstrating its impact to potential funding bodies.

Our Approach

Bespoke Website Design

Sleeky created a bespoke visual design for the PSRC website rather than relying on an off-the-shelf template. The design provides a clear and approachable digital identity for a research organisation working in healthcare and patient safety.

Website Restructuring

The existing website was restructured to improve the way information was organised and presented. This made it easier for visitors to navigate the website and find information about PSRC’s research, projects, news and impact.

Accessibility and Usability

Accessibility was an important consideration throughout the project. The website was designed to provide a user-friendly experience for visitors with different abilities and levels of digital experience.

Custom Development

Sleeky developed bespoke front-end and back-end functionality to support the requirements of the new website. This allowed the website to be tailored around PSRC’s content and the way the organisation communicates its research and impact.

Case Studies and News

The new website provides dedicated opportunities to showcase PSRC’s case studies and news. This helps the organisation demonstrate the real-world impact of its work and provides potential funding bodies with a clearer understanding of its research.

Mobile-Friendly Design

The website was developed to work across different devices, allowing visitors to access PSRC’s information on desktop, tablet and mobile.

What Was the Result?

The redesigned PSRC website provides the organisation with a modern digital platform for communicating its research, patient safety work and community impact.

The new website combines bespoke design, custom development, accessibility and mobile-friendly functionality to make PSRC’s information easier to navigate and understand.

Why Was Accessibility Important for This Project?

Accessibility was particularly important because PSRC’s website needs to communicate healthcare research and information to a broad audience. Sleeky’s approach focused on creating a website that was user-friendly and accessible to people with different abilities and levels of digital experience.

Does Sleeky Have Experience Designing Healthcare Websites?

Yes. The PSRC project is an example of Sleeky’s experience delivering bespoke web design for organisations operating in the healthcare and medical sector. The project combined accessibility, usability, bespoke design and custom development to create a website tailored to the organisation’s requirements.
