What made you want to be a graphic designer?
I always had an interest in art and design. I enjoy the creative challenges of being a graphic designer.
What project have you most enjoyed working on?
There are a lot of enjoyable projects, however lately I’ve done some fun designs for our client 180 Training.
Are there any design trends that you think are going to have a big impact?
I think soon pretty much all websites will be responsive in order to stay relevant as more and more people browse via mobiles and tablets. Therefore responsive design is key, and simplicity in design is the best way to make website design easily transferable across devices. Minimal, clean design is definitely a major trend.
Who or what inspires you?
I find inspiration all over, I like to keep up with design blogs but often inspiration can be found in everyday life on websites, stationery, shop signs etc. I also think it’s important to look at what others are doing to inspire your own work. Also Lionel Richie.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I watch a lot of films and TV series, at the minute I’m really into Westworld. I also enjoy drawing and going for long drives on adventures around the country, recently I’ve been to Bamburgh Castle and Aysgarth Falls.
What’s your favourite film?
I’m a huge Marvel film fan but my favourite probably has to be Deadpool!
What’s your favourite place to eat in the North East?
Although there are plenty of excellent restaurants in Newcastle, I’d have to say the Italian Kitchen in my home city of Sunderland is probably my favourite. We go for pretty much every birthday and special occasion in my family.
